Lab Assistant - Science

Key Responsibilities * *Laboratory Preparation:* Prepare laboratory apparatus, materials, specimens, and other resources required for practical sessions as per the teachers’ instructions. * *Equipment Management:* Maintain, clean, and organise laboratory equipment, instruments, glassware, and other materials. * *Inventory Management:* Maintain stock registers, monitor consumption, and ensure timely replenishment of laboratory supplies. * *Safety and Compliance:* Ensure laboratory safety protocols are followed, including proper storage and handling of chemicals and equipment. * *Practical Session Support:* Assist science teachers during experiments and practical activities, as required. * *Maintenance:* Report damaged equipment, stock shortages, and maintenance requirements to the concerned authority. * *Record Keeping:* Maintain laboratory records, equipment registers, chemical inventories, and issue/return registers. * *Housekeeping:* Ensure the laboratory is clean, organised, and ready for practical sessions. * *Student Safety:* Supervise laboratory activities as assigned and ensure students follow safety instructions. * *Additional Duties:* Perform other laboratory-related responsibilities assigned by the School Principal or Science Coordinator. Educational Qualifications * Minimum qualification: Class 12 in the Science stream, preferably with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
