Fresnel’s Biprism

Apparatus Description & Purpose

The 40 x 30 mm bi prism with optically worked surfaces is mounted in a frame with hinged joint and has a micrometer screw for adjustment. For determination of the wavelength of light by measurement of interference fringes produced by interference between two beams of light originating as a single beam from a common source and split by the bi prism.
